“Mightabeen.Maybe…Yes” She wrinkled her nose. “Out of the two of us, I was not the charismatic one. Never got to have much luck with boys… ‘cept my brothers… and that was only ‘cause I could win any fight with them!” She giggled and bounce don her feet.

“Oh, relax.” Rae said with a small smile. “Knowing Jaxon, he’s probably beyond excited under all that hair pushing back and chuckling as he looks at his feet.” Yep, that sounded like the fluffhead. “I never had luck with… anything. Luck does shit.” she said in a matter-of-fact tone. “I may be a flirt but you are still charismatic, darling.”
Adrian just smiled. If he kept telling her he loved her, he’d never stop. Which he shouldn’t do anyways, but there were other things to do too, not just tell her everything he loved about her. Which was all of her. He lifted her chin so he could look in her eyes as he lowered his lips to hers.
Her breath caught in her throat as Adrian leaned in to kiss her. He literally did take her breath away. And she loved it. Being with him made her feel different. Special. Rae allowed her head to be tilted, looking right into his soft and gentle eyes. Her heart fluttered as they made eye contact. Slowly, she closed her eyes and pressed her lips to his. She kissed him softly and held onto it as long as possible.

*leans into her, resting his forehead against hers* But what of it doesn’t?…
What happened to being the positive one? If it doesn’t turn up… well.. it will. If it doesn’t, we didn’t look hard enough. And you are an amazing bassist that doesn’t need luck to win a crowd of hearts. Okay?
She laughed and sighed. “I was kidding! But I like it! Would be nice for summer parties and such. I think out back would be good…” She nodded, thinking about it now it really wasn’t a bad idea.
“You need to work on your sarcasm, darling,” Rae teased before laughing. “The only thing is… the foundation. Or the support. I don’t want to be cooking some hamburgers then suddenly end up falling a story to the ground. Maybe… maybe just updating the deck out back?”

The cat tapped the power button to the radio and adjusted the volume before driving out of the parking lot. As she drove, Rae tapped her right thumb to the beat on her steering wheel and belted the choruses of songs she knew well. She stopped singing and glanced to Sophie, “is it safe to visit the Grid? ‘Cause… I want to see it. It’s been a while since I had a fun trip.”
Singing along with the chorus she looked over to Rae as she questioned her. Tugging at her ears she nodded. “It should be, it’s safe for you either way. You’re a User… You can change it all with a few clicks of a button out here…” She said softly. “But yes. I know the signs of a Virus, mostly. They’re the biggest threat.”
Rae glanced to Sophie and saw the ear tugging. Apparently that wasn’t a good thing to talk about while driving… “Are you… nervous about going back there?” She glanced once more to Sophie but then quickly back at the road. She tended to get distracted while driving and really shouldn’t take her eyes off the road. “I don’t want you to worry.” she stated in a more serious tone.
